SALARY RANGE: $28.53/hr.- $34.53/hr. 
LOCATION: Davis, CA
JOB SUMMARY/OVERVIEW: The Risk Management and Compliance (RMC) Coordinator will be responsible for assisting in the execution of the Risk Management and Compliance Program. Under the direction of the Director of Risk Management and Compliance, the RMC Coordinator will aid in conducting internal audits and risk assessments, regulatory research and training, review of policies and procedures, and review and resolution of incident reports. A successful candidate will have a working knowledge of Risk and Compliance in the Healthcare industry with the ability to guide and educate other members of the organization.

MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS/TRAINING 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree, preferred
Experience/Lived Experience: 2+ years compliance and HIPAA privacy experience
Direct experience with healthcare risk management and mitigation, preferred
Special Skills/Training: Familiar with healthcare systems and operations,
Proven ability to identify, assess, and prioritize risks across the organization, 
Attention to detail and strong written communication skills

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 

1.Assist with the maintenance and continued improvement of CommuniCare+OLE’s Risk and Compliance Program using adult learning principles.
2.Maintain a thorough understanding of state and federal laws and regulations related to healthcare compliance. 
3.Prepare reports based on incident trends, upcoming compliance deadlines, and safety findings.
4.Promote compliance and risk awareness across the organization by establishing and maintaining relationships with key staff, leadership, and stakeholders.
5.Conduct internal audits and quarterly risk assessments on clinical and non-clinical subject risk topics.
6.Participate in the creation, review, and revision of organizational policies and procedures. 
7.Review, categorize, and log incident report details, follow up efforts, and resolutions.
8.Aid in the development of presentations and training for the Risk and Compliance Program.
9.Investigate and report HIPAA privacy breaches, as appropriate.
10.Responsible for following tasks through to completion both independently and collaboratively.
11.Create and manage spreadsheets tracking compliance and regulatory deadlines, action items, etc.
12.Address employee concerns or questions on legal compliance and/or risk activities.
13.Perform other duties as assigned.
