Aimee Maldonado-Ramos, LCSW (She/Her)
About Aimee
Aimee Maldonado-Ramos started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2022. She received her Masters in Social Work from San Marcos State University in 2019 and completed her undergraduate degree in Early Childhood Studies at Sonoma State University. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, she worked at Rady Children’s Hospital of San Diego, as the lead orthopedic/surgical inpatient social worker. Throughout her career in the hospital, Aimee worked in the Emergency Department, Oncology department, Endocrinology clinic, and various medical care units. Aimee specializes in working with children, teens, and young adults while utilizing a psychodynamic approach, CBT and TF-CBT. Aimee is currently working on obtaining certification in EMDR.
My approach to care
My care philosophy/approach is to meet each person where they are. For trust to be established between a patient and therapist, I thrive to align myself with patients and come from a place of empathy, compassion, support, and understanding. It is important for me to be a cheerleader in your corner as you thrive through life.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a clinical therapist because I believe in working with a multidisciplinary team to assess the needs of an individual both medically and psychologically. Serving my community continues to be a huge honor and privilege.
