About Emmy
Emmy Nguyen started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2023. She received their Masters in Social Work from The University of Southern California (USC) in 2017 and completed her BA in Psychology at the University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB). Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, Emmy provided community based mental health services in Napa County and Los Angeles County. Additionally, Emmy was a Foster Care Social Worker in Los Angeles County prior to beginning her career as a Mental Health Clinician. She specializes in grief and loss, trauma-based care, and working with children, youth and families.
My approach to care
My care philosophy/approach to care is that everyone wants to feel like they are not alone. I’ve worked with children as young as 2 and as old as 82, and no matter what the age, everyone wants to feel like they are being heard and someone understands them.
