About Gina
Gina Silva started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2016. She received her degree from Sacramento State University in 2006 undergrad and 2008 graduate school. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, interned and worked in drug treatment at John H Jones, Sutter Center for Psychiatry, El Dorado County Childrens Mental Health Department, El Dorado County Crisis Team, and New Morning Youth and Family Services. Gina Silva specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of needs including depression, anxiety, trauma, relationship struggles, addiction, and parenting.
My approach to care
My care philosophy/approach to care Is based on strengths-based support through the lens of tailoring support to the individual client.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a social worker because I wanted to partner with clients to offer strategies to improve functioning.
Something you might not know about me
Something you might not know about me is that I have four sons, love to camp, garden, and be outdoors, am an avid strategy board game player, had a pet tarantula for 15 years, and dream of being a homesteader.
