About Brittany
Dr. Vacura started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2024. She received her DDS degree from UC San Francisco in 2017 and completed her Bachelor’s degree in Biology at Occidental College in Los Angeles, CA. She completed her General Practice Residency at UNLV in 2018 where she received additional training in dental implants, removable dentures, root canals, and hospital dentistry. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, Dr. Vacura has worked and rotated in many community health centers and tribal health centers throughout Northern California. She specializes in treating patients with complex medical and dental needs, but especially enjoys treating patients who have never seen the dentist before.
My approach to care
My care philosophy is to meet the patient where they are (physically and mentally) in order to establish a foundation and create a positive relationship with their health care providers. I accomplish this by respecting the patient’s needs and encouraging them to take charge of their health. No matter how extensive the patient’s treatment plan is, I provide the support and education they need to create healthy habits and prevent further disease.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a dentist because I wanted to provide care to the patients who needed it the most but didn’t have access to it. I grew up in a household where I received regular dental care and I’ve always wanted to give back.
Something you might not know about me
Something you might not know about me is that I am a former college softball pitcher and played competitively for 15 years. My favorite pitch was my curve ball and I threw about 65 mph.
