My approach to care

My care philosophy/approach to care is walking with an individual on their mental health journey and helping them find their strengths and areas of growth that can be used to help them continue moving forward.

Why I went into healthcare

I became a behavioral health clinician because I wanted to help increase awareness of the different mental health needs of diverse cultural ethnic groups. As an ethnic minority myself, Hmong, mental health is an area of health care that is not addressed as important as our physical health due to different cultural views and lifestyles. I hope that I can provide a space for clients to feel comfortable being fully themselves no matter how different we are from each other.
