Nikita Roy, MD
About Nikita
Nikita Roy started at CommuniCare+OLE in 2026. She received her medical degree from University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine in 2016 and completed her undergraduate degree at University of Pittsburgh. Prior to coming to CommuniCare+OLE, she worked in Pittsburgh, PA and New York City as a primary care pediatrician. Dr. Roy specializes in caring for children as they grow through childhood and has a special interest in childhood nutrition.
My approach to care
I provide whole-person care for each child I treat. It’s important to me when providing medical care that I’m considering the needs of my patients family and respecting their unique perspectives.
Why I went into healthcare
I became a pediatrician because I enjoy counseling families on their child’s growth and development, as well as other important topics like nutrition and safety. I particularly enjoy providing care within a patient-centered medical home because it allows me to address barriers to medical care and work as a team to ensure that every child has the chance to thrive.
Something you might not know about me
Something you might not know about me is that I was born in India and moved here with my family when I was 7 years old. I enjoy cooking and trying out new recipes. I also love to travel and take road trips. I collect magnets from every place I visit (I think I have over 100 by now!).
